Had a little time today during lunch, so I decided to work up a quick sketch of my character, Poplar. He's the main character in this graphic novel I hope to one day actually pull together! Sigh...

quick sketch - blackjack

Alright, my new goal here is to post quick sketches, so a) I'll actually be drawing something, and b) you can see that I actually draw on rare occasion (which I'm attempting to make less rare.) Right now I'm just having some fun drawing quick sketches of comic book characters I tend to really like! And here we have Blackjack, from Atari Force! That book rocked, no matter what you say! Plus poor Blackjack, all manly and hairy, gets mentally screwed over by the big bad Dark Destroyer, and turns all bad himself! Before making amends and becoming good again!

quick sketch - galactus

Here's a sketch of one of my favorite Marvel comics characters ever! Galactus! The planet eater! I think this one came out really nice. He's not really "doing" anything, just standing there in space, with this nasty look on his face. Maybe someone took the last planet... (that was a really bad joke, I realize.)

FRESH start

Welcome to the new home for my online journal! This should make it much easier for me to update you on the latest (keep your fingers crossed, I can be so slack when it comes to updating my site! The best of intentions, and all that...) So I'm gonna give it another go.

I see this as giving me the chance to also upload my sketches, and other oddities I might not normally place into my portfolio. (Such as a Galactus sketch I'm rather proud of, that I'll be posting here shortly.) - As well as more information on where I'm hoping to take my artwork this year, upcoming projects, and a bunch of other stuff (including an online shop of some sort! I swear it, I swear it!)
